MLA 260: Low budget loading arm for manual operation, with ‘mechanical link’ rotating counterweight balancing system. Self supporting carbon steel construction; used for small operating ranges.
Benefits of this type:
Lower maintenance costs, due to the absence of cables and main bearings, which need a regular check.
Pantograph is rigid and therefore causes no influence on balance during operation.
Suitable for large diameters and dimensions.
Less weight (lower baseload and costs). Less wind load (<50%). Completely in compliance with OCIMF rules.
Slim and Proven design.
MLA 262: Top model marine loading arm for manual or hydraulic operation. ‘Cable wheel link’ rotating counterweight balancing system. Frame type construction including separate supporting structure with floating product and vapor pipe.
Best suited for cryogenic applications (below minus 50ºC) or for highly corrisive fluids.
Main features of this type:
Connection between outboard arm and counterweight by cables and wheels.
Very smooth movements.
Product piping only has to bear loads due to product transfer. Product piping can be replaced.
Truck Loading Arms
Top Loading Arms : A complete range of Top loading arms for open manhole and closed fill, additions include a flexible or rigid vapor return line. A cone attachment to the drop-pipe is available to seal the manhole. An extensive range of additional features are availabe, in order to make the loading system suitable for every specific situation, such as:
* Top level control devices
* Truck connection by flange or dry break coupler
* Heating, insulating
* Manually or pneumatically operated product valves
* Vapour return by rigid line or flexible hose
* Cleancon coupler for food applications
* Large operating envelope for operation at both sites of the loading platform
Bottom Loading Arms : A selection of designs that can be used for loading and unloading, including a low-height concept for applications where pump capacity is limited or gravity feed restricted.Kanon dual balance feature assuring horizontal mating flange in all attitudes.An extensive range of accessories are availabe, in order to make the loading system suitable for every specific situation, such as:
* Purge and drain provisions
* Manually or pneumatically operated product valves
* Heating, insulating
* Quick couplers for truck connection
* Safety Break Valve
* Unique low-height concept for applications where pump capacity is limited or gravity feed restricted.
Folding Stairs&Safety cages
Folding Stairs&Safety cages : It is used for safe and easy access between loading platform and road or rail tanker. Spring balanced for easy handling by one operator. Handrails fitted as standard. Automatic adjustment to tanker height.
Kanon folding stairs are designed for safe and convenient access of road and rail tankers from a platform. Beside the standard designs, Kanon produces tailormade solutions such as stairs with different widths. Additionally, loading platforms in several sizes can be part of the scope in order to provide a complete loading configuration.Safety cages are available in various sizes and executions. They are designed to operate in full co-operation with loading arms and folding stairs. Safety cages are available in all required sizes, with paint system or in galvanised execution. Materials: Steel, aluminum or stainless steel
Standard design includes:
* Easy handling by one opera
tor only
* Rubber bumpers on last step provide smooth contact with tankers
* Movable safety first step
* Non slip steps
* Fully balanced in everyposition
* Maintenance free bearings
* Pull rope
* Locking device
Others:

Swivel joints are critical components in metal loading arms because of the high bending and axial load combination Kanon swivel joints are developed to withstand these loads without any leakage. Due to the specific design, they will show an excellent performance throughout many years, requiring hardly any maintenance. Kanon swivel joints are available in a wide variety of materials, and hence are suited for the the widest possible range of different products. Special features include purging (cryopgenic applications), PTFE lining (corrosive products) and multipe seal set/purging (toxic products). Applications are not limited to loading arms and may be used for a wide variety of flexible piping connections.
Specifications:
* Temperature range -200ºC to 300ºC
* Maximum pressure 120 bar
* Sizes available from 1” to 24”
* Very high load bearing capability, due to special shape of ball races
* Completely separated ball race chamber from sealing part
* Standard full bore design
* Function check
* Double row bearing
* Single row is optionally available
* Helium leak tested.
* Different executions available for special applications, such as: Mercaptan, chloring, ethylene and acids
Grounding devices :

When loading fuels, non-conducting hydrocarbons of flammable chemicals into or from tankers, it is imperative that the tankers are guaranteed to be properly grounded and that electrostatic charges are safely diverted to ground in order to prevent the generation of sparks which could cause an explosion. The grounding devices supplied by Kanon improves safe loading and unloading by systematically removing elecrostatic charges to ground and confirming that the tanker is thoroughly grounded. The grounding device is is able to make a distinction between correct grounding at the tank truck and false operation, ensuring a safe loading and unloading environment. Beside road and rail tankers, marine grounding devices for inland and sea tankers are available as well. The Grounding Control Devices of the EKx-3 family are certified in accordance with the European explosion prevention directive ATEX 100a for the operation in hazardous areas of zone 1.
